I graduated from James Bowie High School in Arlington, Texas in 2004.
I went to college at Oklahoma Christian University, graduating in December of 2008.
I graduated from OU with a Masters in Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum: Reading Education (Reading Specialist) in the fall of 2018.
Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education
Certified by the College Board in Pre-AP in middle school English.

I love going to any professional development and workshop oppotunities, especially about writing! I love to learn new things to make myself a better teacher and reach my students in more innovative ways. I attend Bureau of Education Research’s What’s New in YA Literature? and What’s New in Children’s Literature each year. I also enjoy attending OTA Encyclomedia each year.
I graduated from Oklahoma Christian University in 2008 with a bachelor's of science in elementary education. I student taught at Oakdale in the fall of 2008 with Mrs. Bates. After moving back from Australia in 2011, I began teaching 5th and 6th grade at Oakdale. A few years later, I moved to teaching only 5th Grade ELA and Social Studies. In the fall of 2018, I moved into Middle School Library, which serves 5th-8th grade. That same year, I also graduated with my mastesr in Reading Education from OU. This is my tenth year at Oakdale as a full-time teacher.
I married my husband, Alex, on October 22, 2011 in Oklahoma City.
I have two kids: August and Gray.
