OAKDALE

The 2017-2018 school year will be my first year at Oakdale Middle School.  I will be teaching all of the 6^th grade science classes and 2 of the 4 7^th grade classes.  I am looking forward to a great school year!

My first teaching experience started off a little interesting!  I moved from Mustang, Oklahoma to Anchorage, Alaska after graduating from college.  I took a temporary position offered to me at the Juvenile Detention Center. I taught everything from Economics to Science.  After that experience, I taught at a suburban high school in Eagle River, Alaska called Chugach High School.  I taught mainly Chemistry, Biology, and Integrated Science.  Couple of states and children later, we moved back to Oklahoma where I taught at my rival high school, Yukon High School.  I taught Pre-AP Biology and Pre-AP Physical Science for 4 years.  Finally, we moved to the Oakdale area where I volunteered and subbed at Oakdale.  I fell in love with all of the teachers and staff!

I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have been married since 1998.  I have two children Carson and Trevor.  Carson attends Oklahoma State University and Trevor attends Edmond Memorial. We have 2 dogs, Bella and Chloe.  Let us not forget our classroom guinea pig, Eleven.
