Evan, his three sons, and wife, Brooke Buchanan Lemley, have lived in the Oakdale Community since 2004. Evan and Brooke moved to the OKC area in 1998 when Evan took a position at the University of Central Oklahoma. At UCO he currently serves as a Professor of Engineering and Physics, Assistant Dean of the College of Mathematics and Science, and director of CREIC - the Center for Research and Education in Interdisciplinary Computation. His professional foci are teaching and research in the area of thermal-fluid systems, connecting academic research to industrial applications, and using high performance computing for engineering research and applications. Evan earned a B.A. in Physics from Hendrix College, and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Arkansas - Fayetteville. Evan has been active in volunteer coaching of soccer and basketball and in STEM outreach activities with OKC area schools. The Lemley's are very busy, but they find time to play tennis; and Evan tries to find time to practice playing the drums.
