Teaching Methods:
When teaching STEM, I use the Engineering Design Process model.

Video Design: Animoto, DoInk for Green Screen, StopMotion
Distance Learning:
In the event we have to move to distance learning, students will be given assignments through Google Classroom. The Zoom call links will be listed in the stream portion of their Google Classroom. Students are expected to arrive in the waiting room 5 minutes prior to start time. Videos must be on and microphones muted.
Assessments and Grading:
Students will receive a completion grade.

Homework Guidelines:
This is a Specials class, and all work will be completed in class.
Helping all Students Learn:
Students of varying abilities will be expected to work independently and in groups. Students that need extra support will be partnered with a student that can work with them. Also, students needing enrichment can do a project aligned with the standards or work on Gizmos.
Communication:
Parents should check Teacherease to locate information about their child’s progress.
Fifth grade teachers will email a Weekly Note each Friday with general information and each subject.
