An innovative program to teach kids online safety

What: alrt! adult seminar for parents/guardians of 3rd-8th grade students
Without training, our kids are not safe online. To combat this growing problem, Abbott House is launching ALRT! This program includes an educational night for parents to discuss the growing problem of internet safety and in-person online safety education at Oakdale, with age-appropriate lessons for 3rd-8th grade students taking place on the week of March 10-14th in classrooms.
alrt! is a comprehensive, evidence-informed prevention education program for students in grades 3rd-8th. There are three different curriculums based on grade level. The program educates and empowers students and all relevant adults with information and strategies to prevent, recognize, and respond appropriately to all types of abuse, sex trafficking, online exploitation and other digital dangers.
