Shout out to the amazing PTC team, along with the support of many generous Oakdale parents, who showered the faculty and staff daily last week for Teacher Appreciation Week. ❤️🍎 Parents also stepped in throughout the week to help the PTC team by covering recess duties for Pre-K through 5th grade, helping make all the special events and treats possible for our staff.
Vendors for the week included Chick-fil-A, Meddy’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, Oak City Pizza, OBC Soda Bar, Tommy’s Express Car Wash, relaxing massages, and many parents who generously sent homemade loaves of bread.
The teachers and staff are incredibly grateful for the thoughtfulness, generosity, and encouragement shown throughout the week. Thank you for making every member of our Oakdale team feel appreciated and valued! 🚀

From Pre-K through 8th grade, students and teachers lined the halls to cheer them on and celebrate their accomplishments. Following the walk, seniors enjoyed a special reception with their former Oakdale teachers thanks to the generosity of parents who helped make the event possible.
It was inspiring to see so many former Rockets who have gone on to excel in high school and beyond. Among this outstanding group were valedictorians, salutatorians, class presidents, StuCo presidents, and many other student leaders who continue to make us proud to have been part of their journey.

🎶🎺 Our 5th–8th grade bands wrapped up their spring concerts last week with fantastic performances for both students and families on Tuesday and Thursday evenings! 👏🎵
The growth, talent, and dedication of our student musicians were on full display. A huge thank you to Mr. Hall and Ms. Toles for all the hard work, time, and energy they pour into helping students master their instruments and develop a lifelong love of music. 🎼💙
We also want to give a HUGE shoutout to OSF for their continued support of our music program through instruments, music resources, and assistance with the Dallas trip. Opportunities like these would not be possible without your generosity and support! 🚀

Faculty and staff recently enjoyed a sweet retirement celebration honoring Dr. Johnson and Mrs. Padgett for their years of dedication and service to Oakdale. ❤️🚀
Mrs. Padgett’s journey at Oakdale began as an Oakdale mom with her two younger sons before returning to the classroom full-time and coaching volleyball. Through the years, she led many successful volleyball seasons and made a lasting impact, helping students strengthen their reading skills in her Reading Club class. She has been a steady source of encouragement and support to students and coworkers alike, always willing to lend a helping hand. Mrs. Padgett will certainly be missed, but we are excited for her as she begins this next chapter filled with fun, family, and relaxation.
Dr. Johnson has been a part of the Oakdale community for many years and has faithfully served as Superintendent for the past three years. His family legacy at Oakdale has continued with leadership, dedication, and deep respect for our students, faculty, and community. We are grateful for the confidence, vision, and leadership he brought to Oakdale during his time of service.
We wish both Mrs. Padgett and Dr. Johnson many happy years ahead, filled with travel, relaxation, and special memories with loved ones. Thank you both for the lasting impact you have made on Oakdale! 💙

🌱🚜 Last Monday, our 7th graders traveled to OSU to enhance what they’ve been learning about ecosystems in science this quarter!
At the student farm, students searched for pests, harvested crops, washed produce, and learned about cover crops and crop rotation. 🌾🥕 They also explored the botanical gardens and discovered more about Oklahoma native plants. 🌼🌿
After lunch, the group visited the Biosystems & Agricultural Engineering Lab, where they had the opportunity to see senior capstone projects and demonstrations focused on clean energy and agricultural technology. ⚡🔬

Last weekend, members of the Oakdale Band traveled to Dallas to compete in the Music in the Parks Festival, where they earned 2nd place in their division! 🏆👏
The trip wasn’t all competition—students also enjoyed time at Medieval Times and Six Flags, making it a perfect mix of music, fun, and fellowship. 🎺🎡
We’re so proud of these students for representing Oakdale so well and creating memories that will last a lifetime! 💙🚀
