_______________
Oakdale Community,
We are thrilled to announce Kendall Still as the next Superintendent of Oakdale School. A lifelong advocate for public education and a proven strategic leader, Kendall brings a wealth of experience and a deep-seated passion for student success to our community.
For Kendall, education is more than a career, it’s a calling. He entered the field with a clear purpose: to provide students with the steady support and life-changing opportunities they need to thrive. After earning his degree from the University of Central Oklahoma, Kendall’s path had him teaching history in the classroom then led him through key roles in both Oklahoma and Texas, where he contributed in opening new campuses and building administrative systems from the ground up.
With a career spanning two states, Kendall has consistently been trusted with significant administrative responsibilities. His background includes serving as a founding administrator at Rick Reedy High School (Frisco, TX), followed by successful tenures as Principal of West Ridge Middle School (Eanes-Westlake ISD) and Whittier Middle School (Norman, OK), and culminating in a senior district leadership role with Oklahoma City Public Schools.
Most recently, Kendall served as the Associate Superintendent of Bixby Public Schools, a K-12 district of 8,061 students, where he excelled at balancing the complexities of district-wide operations and bond projects with a relentless focus on maintaining high-quality, student-centered classroom environments. Central to his leadership philosophy is the belief that a district is only as strong as its people. He prioritizes cultivating meaningful, collaborative relationships with teachers and site staff, ensuring those on the front lines of education feel heard, valued, and empowered to do their best work.
Beyond his professional accolades, Kendall joins us with a firsthand understanding of what makes our community special. From 2019 to 2024, Kendall and his wife, Tabitha, resided in Oakdale while their son, Jax, attended school here.
"My time as an Oakdale parent gave me a unique perspective on the incredible education that happens in these classrooms every day," says Still. "I am honored to return in this new capacity to support our leaders, staff, and most importantly our students."
During the interview process, Mr. Still shared that he views Oakdale as a destination district—a place families intentionally choose because of its exceptional educators, strong community support, and unwavering commitment to student success. As a Board of Education, we could not agree more and are excited about the future of Oakdale Public Schools under his leadership. Please join us in welcoming Kendall, Tabitha, and Jax back to the heart of our community.
Sincerely,
Oakdale Board of Education
